Well, hello again all! It's been some time since I've updated my blog.. so since I can't get any sleep.. figure now is a good time to update.. I will try to keep this kinda short, but alot of things have gone on since David's arrival in May.
David and I have gotten a new truck. We traded in his other one and got a great deal on our 07 Dodge Ram Mega Cab. Brand new truck, only had like 80 something miles.. I think.. So yeah.. We got him a new truck and boy, it's big! :)
On David's birthday, we bought another dog... We got Greta (german shepard) from the HSV Humane Society.. We had went to the Humane Society the previous weekend to get our dogs/cars washed.. They had this fundraiser.. You pay 15 bucks for your dog and car to get washed! What a great deal!! So.. we had done that and we just went by where they had all of the dogs to be adopted and noticed that they either had one or two german shepards there (btw, I like german shepards because of how they stand.. it's like they are about to just jump.. neways.. it's cool).. Greta was one of the dogs there, but they said that she couldn't be adopted until after Tuesday because she would have been spayed.. So neways.. the following weekend, we went to the ARK just to see what they had.. they had a really nice lab there called Major.. that poor dog had been though alot.. but we decided to run by the Humane Society and Greta was still there.. So.. yeah.. We got Greta and it's been great ever since! Apollo and Venus are doing well with Greta and it's been a great big family...
We sent out invites recently to everyone (except for a few, since we dont have contact info). We have recieved 2 responses as of yet.. which is great, since we sent them out on Friday of last week... One accept and one decline.. So.. we'll see how many people will be able to attend.. I sure hope alot :) and btw, yes.. David and I printed them out.. We have had a few comments on the invites and they thought we bought them from a store and got them printed out.. nope.. it was me! The deadline for the response cards is Oct 1st since we need to get Chris - David's brother who lives in Vegas (is throwing us a reception after the weeding at their place.. which is so nice of him..) the numbers........ THANK YOU CHRIS!!!!
Along with the invites, David got fitted for a tux from Men's Wearhouse and we are good to go on that.. We sent out the email to the guys and informed them what they need to do and when they need to do it.. So we are good to go on that... They are having this special, that if you get 4 tux you get the 5th on free.. So, then we decided to get our dads in tux and yeah.. So.. my dad got his tux fitted ( I guess I should say measured instead of fitted, since you can't just buy a tux off the shelf).. neways.. so now we gotta get the rest of the guys measured and there ya go!
Let's see.. what else... Oh! We are about to start our own business here.. We'll be selling things over the internet, (which I will post once we get all of the paperwork signed, sealed and delievered). We need to get all of the legal stuff done and then we can officially open! I am planning on setting up shop at our local flea market.. so we'll see how that goes.. the items that we'll be selling is like figurines, gift items, etc. etc.. you'll see :)
Other than that.. i think that's about it.. David and I have been non stop since he's been back.. His parents came by back in June and visited and all.. It was great seeing them, and since Lexy is back home (Texas) for good, we hope to see her more often :) Cowboy will be joining Lexy in a couple of months.. He has decided to leave Kwaj after 9 or 10 years and go back to Texas.. Good luck, Dad on the move and all :)
Well I'm sure I'm forgetting something.. but since it's EARLY in the morning, I'm sure you'll forgive me.. So neways.. I'll post again soon!!!

Finally!!!!
First things first....
DAVID IS HOME!!!!! He's out and about right now (getting things squared away before he starts his new job next Monday). David got in on Memorial Day around 8p.m. and boy did he look tired.. Well, hell flying across the country and doing the whole hurry up and wait game.. that can be quite tiring.. Neways.. David made it home safely and I am so happy he did. This past week, we had been busy, taking care of all sorts of things, showing him my "schedule" that I had been doing since we got a new house, dogs and other stuffs.. and of course spending time with each other.. though, I gotta keep telling myself, that he's home for good and that we don't have to CRAM everything into a couple of weeks.. lol I'm so happy he's home.. I know he feels it too..
We celebrated my birthday recently (June 1st).. We actually went out and "celebrated" it on May 31st, since I wasn't sure if things were open or not on Sunday.. So we went out and played Putt Putt (which I won!!!) ;) and did a couple of various things.. We were planning on going to Chattanooga on Sunday, but they were having some serious weather issues there and then we (AL) got it with some bad thunderstorms too... so.. it was kinda a wash out on Sunday (which made me glad we went out and did stuff on Saturday, since it was so nice)... We also went to see the new Sex and The City movie, which was great! David wanted to go with me to watch the movie, so I decided that he should watch the series finale before he watched the movie.. He said that it helped, since he was able to understand the characters a bit more.. So yeah, good movie :) There are some other movies we are wanting to watch, so we'll definiatly have a movie night soon :)
Like I said, we have been super busy since David has been home.. He's been trying to catch up on sleep.. but of course, in our household.. .it's a bit hard.. since we have puppies (now David knows what I'V BEEN GOING THROUGH!!!) =D
Things are going great though. I'm so happy he's home.. he's home for good.. No more "I'll see ya later" and stuff... =)
David's parents are planning on coming to HSV soon (Father's Day weekend).. So I'm pretty excited about that.. Gotta look at the times again to figure out when I need to take of some time to get them from the airport and all :) Can't wait to see them again.
Over Memorial Day weekend, I went to Las Vegas to talk to the wedding coordinator and to check out the Bellagio.. What a great place!!! I dont think we could have it anywhere else, then there.. It's just wonderful.. I could do without the traffic on the strip, but other than that, it was a great experience.. We have everything finalize, except for a couple of items (cake, music, how to get the dress from A to B).. but other than that, we are a go!! =)
David told me where he's taking me on our honeymooon!!! We stop in Tahiti, then we go to Bora Bora and Moorea.. Check it out.. It's just wonderful!!!! David and I was just talking about, the one thing that means something to both of us, is the water.. not really the beach per say, but the water... and I dont think he could have picked a better place for us to go on our honeymoon then an island that has water around it :) Sure, Pohnpei is nice.. but hell.. I think their landing strip is shut down (a cargo airplane (or something like that), didn't stop in time and decided to go for a swim (hope everyone on the plane was ok)).. so yeah.. going to Tahiti.. it's gonna be great!!! I have been doing some research on things to do there and what language is spoken there (French and Tahitian) and the money exchange stuffs.. So.. it's gonna be fun!! I already know some French (though it's been some time, since I've spoken it), So I found this program that I think is pretty good.. I checked it out and I kinda picked up where I left off (well kinda.. still alittle rusty, but still).. So, yeah.. I can't wait to go.. Can't wait to get married to David.. We are so great together.. ok ok.. I'll stop with the mushy stuffs..
So, neways.. The biggest news, is that David is home..
Work is going ok.. Not really anything to talk about there...
Dogs are doing great.. Same Ol' Same Ol'.. They remember David.. They were happy and all when he got home.. =) I know that David felt good about that..
Other than that.. that's about it.. I'll get David to post something on his blog and all, to keep ya'll up to date on what's going on here..
Talk to ya'll later!!!

An Update..
Hello all again to the wonderful world of Sarah!
Only 21 more days and David will finally be home for good!! I'm getting excited about it, though I keep thinking that "oh.. he's going to be home for 2 weeks and leave again".. I gotta keep telling myself that "he'll be home FOR GOOD!!" So, neways.. David is quite excited about it.. He's got less than 2 weeks of work, then for a good week, he'll be making his way back to AL. According to him, he'll be here on May 27th.. so.. yeah.. and that night, I'll be cooking him a wonderful dinner.. that I know he'll like :) So.. yeah.. Just waiting on my honey to come home.. on a similar note.. David got a job with Jacobs here in HSV! He's getting paid great and he's got some great benefits too! I'm so proud of him.. I know he's gonna do great here in HSV!
The dogs are doing well.. Finally figured out what was going on with Apollo and his stomach issues.. It was the food.. When we first got him.. he was on Science Diet (Lamb and Rice). Well.. I was telling David that we needed to get him on the Science Diet (Original ).. so we did.. and since then, Apollo's little stomach hadn't been acting right.. So I took him in and the vet didn't see anything wrong with him.. He put Apollo on Science Diet (Presciption Diet) and that actually worked.. though it was going to be QUITE expensive if we had to put him on it all the time.. So.. after Apollo finished the food, I put him back on the Original and he started up again.. So I talked to David about it and he said to try to put Apollo on the Lamb and Rice and see how it worked.. well.. Apollo is doing much much better and according to the vet.. It was probably food allergies.. So.. Now I am going to try to put Venus on the Lamb and Rice and see how she likes it.. I gave her a cup of the Lamb and Rice and the last cup of the Original food and Venus just seemed to eat that stuff up.. So.. tonight, I'll put her on the Lamb and Rice and see how she does.. If her stomach starts acting up (like Apollo's did), then I'll have to give them seperate food (which would suck.).. but that's ok.. Gotta take care of the puppies!!!
Well on May 23rd, I'll be off to Vegas! I have had my ticket for a couple of weeks now (and glad that I did.. I was watching the news this morning and they said that one airliner is starting to charge $5 if you want an aisle or window seat (if you specify).. Isn't that crap?!?! Neways.. I'll be going to Vegas on the 23 and get back on the 26 (since we are off for Memorial Day) and then David will be back on the 27th. Planning on meeting up with the Wedding Coord., confirming plans, and hanging out with Chris and DD. There are a couple of shows that I wanted to catch while I'm out there.. and I think DD is gonna hook me up :) It should be fun!
My birthday is coming up (June 1).. I had told David that I didn't think it's very fair if I told him to plan stuff for my birthday, since he doesn't know HSV all that well.. So... I said.. "Honey... what I want is a Day for me! Anything I want to do.. Anything I want you to do.. It's gonna be my day".. He said "Ok.. Just let me know".. So.. I have 2 lists.. One list is for a nice day and one list is for a rain day.. Just incase it rains.. we'll have a backup.. I have alot of stuff planned for us.. I showed the list to one of my co-workers and he thought that it was pretty cool and said that I had some great ideas on there :) So.. Waiting for David to get back to show him the list... and waiting for him to tell me where he's taking me on our HONEYMOON!!! =D
Let's see.. anything else going on here.. I planted some more flowers yesterday afternoon.. One flower that I didn't plant (was already there when we moved in), came up and bloomed.. It was a Yellow Daylilly and it's really pretty :) Went over to my neighboors to say hello and Sally showed me this beautiful Rose that they just bought at Lowes.. It smelled so good!!! I'm gonna stop by there on the way home tonight and pick up some.. It was so pretty and smell great!
Well.. work has been going ok.. same ol same ol.. We'll be having the MDA Org Day on May 30th, which should be fun! It's gonna be on the arsenal and David will be joining me in the festivites.. :)
I think that's about it.. Just waiting for David to come home.. looking forward to going to Las Vegas (never been there)... Entertaining the puppies.. oh!! I forgot something.. I got a surprise for David when he gets home!! I bought this item probably alittle over a week ago and he has no idea what it is! I can't wait to show it to him!!! =) He's gonna love it!!
Alrighty.. See you guys later!!

Since It's been a while...
I figured that I would post again :) Hope everyone is doing well.. Well this past couple of weeks have been quite interesting to say the least...
To start: I asked my childhood friend, Megan, to be a bridesmaid at our wedding. She happily agreed and according to her, she was able to get the dress. (Still waiting to confirm that she actually got the dress) ;) So, now it's confirmed. We have Donna, Stephanie and Megan on my side, and Ben, Chris and Scott on David's side. Looks like everything is working out!
On a sad note: Back on March 31st, David's grandfather had passed away. David had told me on the phone that he had an email from Scott saying to call him ASAP.. and that's when he found out. David was frantically trying to get a ticket home to attend the funeral and was able to get back in the states in a couple of days (on the 3rd).
David arrived on the 3rd at 11 or so at night. We got home and did some laundry and slept like for 3 hours and got back up to catch the airplane to Lubbock, TX on the 4th at 700a.m. So, neways, we got to Lubbock, TX and met quite a few people on Lexy's (David's mom) side of the family at the airport. Aunt Sharmon, Stephanie (my bridesmaid). Saw Danyel and Chris and of course Mom and Dad =) We chit chatted for a bit while we waited for our luggage and then headed on to David's Grandmother's house (I think.. it has been a pretty rushed trip).. I met everyone there, including all of Lexy's sisters (LuNell, Sharon, Jenna, (Sharmon had picked us up) and their respective husbands, Lexy's mom - Sherri, saw Scott and Beth, David's great grandmother who's 93 years young! I spoke with her for a while and she had told me that she'll be making it to our wedding. Isn't that great, ya'll?!?! =) While I was there I thought "holy cow, what a big family!" David was right when he sid that he had a big family =) During our stay in Lubbock, we went over to one of Lexy's sister houses' and we had a good time. The Hershey Kisses (all the sisters) sang songs and it was awesome! I was just amazed how they sang and it was just beautiful. Words can hardly describe what I heard...
So, we stayed at David's grandmother's house for a while and the pastor who was presiding over the funeral the next day, wanted to know things about Larry that made him special to the family and to others in the community. I found out alot about his grandfather. He was very active in the community with the disabled children, with the church and other community activities. I know for sure that he loved all of his kids... all 5 girls (or rather known as the Hershey Kisses). I wish I was able to meet his grandfather but I know one thing.. We will all see each other again when it's our time.. After we talked to the pastor, David and I were so tired, we went to the hotel and slept (though it wasn't a great sleep, bed sucked).. bah!
Woke up on Friday with a severe sinus thing going on ( I thought I was having sympathy sinus issues since it seemed like everyone was feeling kinda crappy), but nope.. it was the real thing.. It's SOOO dry in Lubbock, everyone was having sinus issues. I should have brought a humidifier.. Neways.. The funeral was on Friday at 1p.m. We got to the church and the church had made us lunch before the funeral. I must say. It was good food :) Neways.. the funeral went ok (as much as you can be ok at an funeral).. After the funeral, we went to the hotel, changed into some street clothes and went out to eat.. This whole time, I was starting to feel even crappier with my sinus infection.. I had been taking some sore throat stuffs and Dayquil and all that, which seemed to help for like 30 minutes and then it stopped working.. So neways.. David had told me that the boys (Chris, Scott and himself) and dad would go out to breakfast together on Sunday morning. I think they went to Crackle Barrel (I hadn't been) and I said "Just let me sleep".. So I slept.. I needed it.. I was starting to feel alittle better until the airplane ride back home.. I'll get to that in a minute.. So neways.. Sunday rolls around and we met back up at Grandmother's house and we ate some lunch and chit chatted for a bit until David and I had to leave to go back to HSV.. We got our things together and said goodbye to the family.. I have never met so many nice people.. I felt like part of the family.. I really did.. Thank you guys! Said goodbye to dad and mom.. We'll be seeing them in June when then come back for a short visit... so yeah.. it was alittle rough saying bye to mom and dad.. felt like Kwaj all over again (bah.. can't go into that right now).. Miss you guys!
Neways.. Got on the airplane and yeah.. wasn't the best time for me.. we were landing in Dallas and my ears were hurting alittle but (not like it's was going to be landing in HSV) because of my sinus infection.. Got into Dallas.. ate dinner and got on the flight to HSV. Yeah I didn't have the best time on the airplane.. I was in tears (and I was.. you can ask David), when we were landing in HSV.. My ears hurt so bad, I just wanted to pull them off.. It would have made me feel better.. :) Neways.. we got off the airplane, I'm wiping tears away.. people are looking at me, like I'm some kind of freak.. I just wanted to get home.. well guess what.. one guess... THEY LOST THE LUGGAGE!! Everytime it seems.. bah! neways.. David waited in line while I went out to the car to lie down (since I was feeling terrible).. David got to the car and said that there's another flight at 11 tomorrow, that hopefully we would have our luggage.. Neways.. Got home at MIDNIGHT.. Slept like a log until 5 when I was gonna get up to go to work.. I got up and said "Hell no. I'm not going in..".. so I called up my co-worker and told her that i'm not coming in and I went back to sleep.. Yeah.. never again.. I wont' fly if I feel like that.. it doesn't matter.. never again..
neways.. David and I had some alone time while he was here. It was wonderful seeing him again, though it's under not so great circumstances.. David had told me that he was going to tell me about where he's taking me on our honeymoon and so.. when i saw him, i said.. "Hey.. you're supposed to tell me where you're taking me!" he just looked at me with this evil grin.. So yeah.. still don't know where he's taking me.. He said that he would rather tell me on my birthday.. so.. yeah.. not much longer...
Neways.. David and I had to say bye again and I told him that he better make it home safely and we gave each other a kiss and said bye. Only a month and a half and he'll be home for good :) Can't wait for that day :) He's gonna be back before my birthday.. June 1st.. It's gonna be nice spending my birthday with him..
On a side note: Only 219 more days until the wedding!!!!!
Neways.. this is quite of a posting.. so I'll post more later on..

Network+ Passed!
Hey All:
Well, I was just reading over my blog and noticed that I hadn't posted in a little while.. So..
The news.. I passed the Network+ certification exam. Yea Team!! So, I'm glad that, that is over and done with. I had to get a cert before my 6 month mark here at SAIC.. and I sure did it! I'm pretty excited about that. I went to the orthodonist last week and they informed me that I should be getting my braces off next month, April 21. They had mentioned to me on the last visit that I may get them off this time, but of course, that didn't happen. I noticed that was getting a gap between my teeth and figured that the braces won't be taken off, until that gap is closed again, which should be this month. Hell, it's already closed, but of course, once you take off the wire, they will go back to how they were... So, anyways. I'm pretty excited about that.. Getting my braces off. Other than that, just kinda hanging out..
Work is same ol same ol.. I'm pretty much playing catch up from the week I was in the bootcamp.. but it's all good. Doing inventory this week on the equipment that belongs to us.. Not very fun stuff, but oh well... someone's gotta do it.. right?!?!?!
The puppies are doing wonderful! Driving me alittle crazy, but hey.. their cute and they are sure getting bigger :) Now, I just gotta get them to like the leash... um.. any ideas? hehehe.. I posted pictures on the PBASE site if you wanna check them out.
David is doing ok. He's back in Afghanistan and just working and whatnot.. Only 255 more days until we're married. It's a big relief that we dont have to go on a man-hunt to find a photographer, florist, videographer, etc. etc.. Some of my family members won't be able to come.. Not sure if it's (really) because it's in Vegas, or if their excuse is a legitament excuse. None the less, this is between David and me and that's all it matters. Come if you want, if you can't than ok.. Just dont give me a b*llsh*t excuse.. Neways.. sorry about that folks.. Some people have been getting on my nerves about this being "all the way over there (meaning Vegas)" and "why dont you have it in Gatlinburg"..Bah!!.. Neways..
Other than that, it's been going.. Well, I'll post whenever I get some more "news".
Take care!

Hey All!
Well, since it's been a long time since I updated this.. I figured that I should do it now. What has went on..
Well, David came back for 3 weeks and left yesterday (Sunday).. David and I had a great time while he was here.. We went to Tunica, MS, where I won $800 on a Nickle Video Poker machine.. and guess what hand I got.. Royal Flush baby!!! I'm so not joking.. It was wild.. So, won that and that was about it in Tunica.. Got back on Feb 1 and decided that we needed to "add" to our "family".. We bought 2 puppies.. 1 Black Lab (F) and 1 Yellow Lab (M), 6 and 8 weeks, Venus and Apollo, respectivily (sp?)... They are just the cutest little things.. I'll post the pics on the PBASE site soon. So, we now are proud owners of two labs. They are a hand full but really fun.. David and I also decided that we should get a bike.. yeah.. It's a Hayabusa.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_Hayabusa It's very very nice. I just love it!!! See David's site for more info and how we decided to get a bike now instead of June (when he's back for good) =) So, two puppies and a motorcycle.. Cool huh? heheh, We also got a kitchen table with chairs, some stairs to go in the backyard (concrete), a couch and a snuggler (a big a$$ chair) and David was able to get his Kwaj stuff from Texas and drive his truck back here.. We both have been pretty busy with everything that has been going on, but we have had some time to ourseleves. David planned a really nice Valentine's Day (night) and it was wonderful! We went to this really nice steakhouse (Ruth's Chris Steak) and it was the best steak that I have EVER had. Everyone should check them out. He also bought me liek 3 Dozen+ roses.. and they smell soooo good! =) He spoils me ;)
During the time that David was here, we talked about everything you can think of.. including the wedding.. David and I decided that it would be alot simplier to have the wedding somewhere else and not invite all 150 people (knowing that some of them won't be showing up, even if I sent the invites to them).. So... We decided to go... (see website for the info).. http://dgsk2008wedding.blogspot.com/ It's alot easier on us.. we got a wedding package and got everything we need. Got the photographer, flowers, hotel, etc. etc. for 1 price. It's nice.. So.. Guess what! You're invited! =) (if you know us :) So, yeah.. Already got the ball rolling on that and have already cancelled the reservations there at St. Henry's.. Will be able to get the deposits back from them and all.. So yeah.. I'm getting excited about this again.. I hate being stressed out and knowing that I have to do all that stuff (research for photographer and whatnot), is going to be pretty hetic around here.. So yeah.. David and I are really excited and take a BIG load off of our backs...
Other than that, I've been here.. Missing David like crazy ( I know, I know, it's only been a day), but still.. I didn't want him to leave.. Only 3 months left..... then he'll be home for good. David has already had a couple of job offers here in HSV (from people we knew from Kwaj).. which is kinda cool.. Hopefully they will still be asking him to sign on, in April/May, since that is when he'll need the job lined up and all..
Work is ok.. Getting ready for my Netwok+ bootcamp.. I'm a bit nervous about it, but I'm studying up and all, just so I can get a feel for what I'm in for. It doesn't seem that bad, since I remember some of the stuff from my Cisco class at Drake State. It's kinda relvenant (sp?) and stuffs...
Well, i guess that's about it.. Kinda short and sweet, but it's to the point. Hope everyone is doing well and hope David made it back safely (hadn't talk to him since last night).. so.. Take Care!
